Abstract:
In the EU, following the crisis, there have been a coordination of government support policy to banks and, in general, some flexibility in the application of rules governing state aid. In Italy the intervention has been implemented by some peculiarities. In fact, the Italian Economy and Finance Ministry is responsible for the control of financing objectives of economy and, to carry out this task, it doesn't use the peripheral structures of the Bank of Italy, but an observatory at the Prefectures; in addition there has been political pressure on banking system, called to adapt to management decisions set by the government.
