Loan supply and capital of Italian banks

Angelo Baglioni

Banca Impresa Società, 2015, issue 1, 67-72

Abstract: Several factors have an impact on the dynamics of bank credit, both on the demand and on the supply side. I analyze those factors that have played a major role on the supply of bank credit in Italy in the recent years: capital, risk and liquidity. Among them, credit risk turns out to be the most relevant at present.
