Abstract:
This paper summarizes the closing contribution to the Conference «The banks in the new regulatory and supervisory context. What perspectives?» organized by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza on 4th Dec 2014. The contribution focused on the results of the single Italian banks in the context of the Comprehensive Assessment published on 26th Oct 2014 and the valuation of those results by the stock market for the listed banks in the following month. The analysis suggests the market reaction has been fully consistent with the rankings of the single listed banks regarding the impact of the AQR and the final capital excess/shortfall vs. the required thresholds.
