Taking CBDC Seriously
Giacomo Bosi
Banca Impresa Società, 2020, issue 1, 67-92
Abstract:
Central bank digital currencies projects are here discussed, according to a legal view, in order to capture analogies and differences from the Sovereign money and MMT theory of money. The features of complementary currencies are recalled so to emphasize the functions of money primarily accomplished by CBDC. Finally, the author draws conclusions on contemporary monetary law.
