Abstract:
This essay explores the evolution of the audiovisual sector in Italy, focusing on both the production and consumption of audiovisual content. It analyzes the role of Italian cultural tradition in the audiovisual sector, as well as the need for innovation to maintain global competitiveness. In general, it provides an overview of the audiovisual industry in Italy, highlighting the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector, as well as the trends and changes that have occurred in recent years. Despite the negative effects of the pandemic on the industry, there are signs of post-pandemic recovery, with new distribution models and partnerships between streaming platforms and producers
