The Effect of Board Members on Return on Asset (ROA): Evidence from West African Country

Abstract: Using a cross sectional data, the current study applied some research statistical tools on over 50 registered companies as at 2011. Several diagnostic tests have been applied to justify the validity of the results. The results show that directors’ ownership have effect on Return on Asset (ROA). Corporate governance is an area of research that cuts across the globe, both in developed countries and developing countries. From West African Country perspective this study discloses the effect of board of directors’ participation on Return on Asset.
