Abstract: Biotechnology offers a sustainable route to manufacturing, but closing the loop towards safeguarding biodiversity remains challenging. Here, we explore how partnerships with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP&LC) can promote an ethical and circular bioeconomy.
