Abstract:
This comment explores how collective intelligence emerges from local interactions in animal groups, and how these principles inform the design of swarm robotic systems. It highlights the reciprocal value of robotics in studying biological collectives and outlines opportunities in intelligent matter, distributed computation, and perception-driven behavioral models.
