A solid advance in electrolytes

Abstract: Electrochemically reducing CO2 into value-added chemicals could contribute to CO2 recycling while storing renewable energy. However, reaction products are typically mixed with additional solutes in the liquid electrolyte. Now, a cell that uses a solid electrolyte is shown to produce pure liquid fuel solutions from CO2.
