Economic Review, 2022, 1-40

Abstract: House prices have increased very strongly in the first COVID year and this increase was not driven by changes in the quality of the property sold. Turning to the longer term, the energy quality of dwellings gradually improved over the past decade and it will need to improve significantly more to reach the European climate goals.
