Abstract: With inflation hitting record levels in the euro area and the US, the ongoing post-pandemic recovery has galvanised the ECB and the Fed to start the journey down the path of monetary policy normalisation. What is the normalisation process going to be like? Why is it happening at different speeds in the euro area and the US? What challenges lie ahead?
