Economic Review, 2022, 1-36
Abstract:
The coronavirus restrictions had a hugely detrimental impact on the business activity of Belgian firms. How did bank lending conditions to non-financial companies change after the onset of the pandemic? Did these changes differ across various economic sectors and firm size groups? This article makes use of qualitative surveys and quantitative loan-level data to answer these questions.
