Abstract:
Fief of the Polish Crown until 1657, the dukedom of Prussia was a jealously guarding its autonomy Baltic State proud of its economic prosperity and intellectual influence. It made a fascinating political microcosm, a triangle whose three points were Königsberg, Warszawa and Berlin.
