Abstract: In the modern economy and society, the role and importance of digital technologies is constantly growing. Their application by businesses contributes to achieving sustainable growth and high competitiveness. This is the reason why the article discusses the issue of digital technologies as an opportunity for business development. The aim is to clarify the specifics of digital technologies and their role and importance for business. Atlas.ti specialized software was used to achieve the goal. The theoretical aspects of digital technologies have been considered. A classification of digital technologies has been made. The characteristic features of some basic digital technologies have been systematized.
