Abstract:
The transformation processes in the transition economies intensified the scientific and practical interest in the problems of ownership, its legal and economic dimensions . The transition to a new type of economic system requires institutional and economic change including the economic foundations of society –the ownership. The paper states the idea that in order to function effectively the market needs a precise specification of the property rights. Property management requires determining the objects and the subjects of ownership. The state and the problems of property rights are analyzed in the article. The data analysis of the international index "Ownership - 2013" is applied through the indicators - legal and political environment, the right to physical ownership and intellectual property.
