Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the financial position of the Bulgarian non-financial public companies. The data used are for the period 2007-2013. The bankruptcy prediction models are characterized by a high degree of accuracy of the forecasts, but also with a certain amount of error. Net return on assets and quick ratio are analyzed. The share of financially distressed enterprises increased during the period. Policy management of the companies should be carried out. Main reasons for the financial difficulties are deteriorating economic conditions, inadequate preparation and untimely actions of companies.
