Abstract:
The co-operative as a form of economic activity has specific social and economic effects. Its founding and functioning are related first and foremost with people initiative. Through the different organizational forms of co-operatives, there can be attracted representatives of different social strata to undertake additional employment. Further effects of co-operatives in economy are as follows: - an increased flexibility in the employment of labour resources; - a contribution to the formation of an active approach in the market; - enhancement of labour force’s qualification and standard of living. The paper presents the opportunities that the co-operative offers in relation to the effective organization of labour force’s additional time.
