Abstract: This scientific report is both a brief review and expressing of a opinion on the important and topical, present time issue of the sport in the leisure time. In this regard, some of the major economical implications of sort are being discussed, such as: the organization and management of sport ata national level in Bulgaria; the involvement of population in sport activities in their leisure time, as well as the potential of sport to boost up whole branches of the economy.
