Abstract: Researchers for the connection between external signs of the human been and his character are made for first time in the Ancient East. In the Antic age these researches are defined in systematic type. The science which works for discovery of the characteristic features and definition of character of the researched object is the physiognomic. In 1824 is published the book of Ch. Bell “Anatomic and Philosophy of Expression as a connection with the painting Art”. In the book he writes about the gestures and mimics. Part of the newer ideas in the researches ofnonverbal behavior are based on the ethology.
