Abstract: The objective of the present paper is to present some empirical data for the relations between the practice and the universities and for their partical utility, to definee some problems and some possible solutions of these problems. The necessity of such type of scientific developments comes from the fact that often the problems in this area remain either not quite clearly defined, or, which more often, not defined in a quantative manner. The basic idea set in the paper and in the interpretation of the data is that the universities, all in all, should serve for the needs of business (or more widely said – the needs of the “practice”), which means that to be effective, they should have information on the opinions from the “practice”, including the view for their utility.
