FOREIGN TRADE OF BULGARIA WITH EAST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN THE TRANSITION PERIOD

Abstract:
In this article has been examined the foreign trade exchange of Bulgaria with CEFTA countries – former members of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance, from contemporary and retrospective aspect. The purpose was to identify the main reasons for the trade exchange state for the period 1986-2008, through analysis of exportation and importation structures, and to give directions for the considerable trade balance improvement. In the research process were given answers to the following important questions: - which are the leading branches and commodities’ groups of the trade exchange; - which is the result from the Bulgarian economy opening, after the concluded agreement for free trade with CEFTA countries.
