Abstract:
The introduction and use of modern information technologies in public health contribute to the achievement of positive social and economic results in the field. This new type of technologies provides opportunities for a more efficient and effective collecting, filing, processing, exchanging, analysing and distributing of specific health information among all the participants within the system and provides tools for elimination of misuses and minimization of the risk of loss of specific health information. The modern information technologies result in an optimum use of resources in public health, bring transparency into the system and prevent the unregulated payments for health and medical preventions prescribed only on paper.
