Abstract: The aim of this paper is to prepare a theoretical-conceptual foundation for cooperative business models. To this end, the object of study of cooperative business models is comprehensively examined with the help of the morphological-typological method. This descriptive-analytical work leads to the elaboration of a comprehensive morphology of cooperative business models, which aims to capture the object of study with all its potential manifestations. On the basis of this, an exemplary model type, that of a public sector-oriented cooperative business model, is finally constructed.
