Abstract:
Organizational changes in the form of centralization are an option for effectively adapting to market changes and thus ensuring the competitiveness of companies. A current trend in change management is the centralization of internal IT and finance functions as companies are expecting a sustainable improvement in their corporate success. As part of the present study in which a total of almost 1,250 people in executive positions at major international companies participated current change management processes were inquired and evaluated. Factors of success and efficiency were determined that are required to create centralized structures and pool activities in the fields of IT and finance. The findings revealed relevant factors and conclusions that could make a positive contribution to centralization.
