Gestaltungsbereiche für Grossunternehmen zur Kollaboration mit Startups: Das Startup-Collaboration-Model

Lukas Peter

Die Unternehmung - Swiss Journal of Business Research and Practice, 2019, vol. 73, issue 3, 193-212

Abstract: In the context of open innovation the collaboration with startups has become increasingly important for many corporations. While literature exists on different forms of collaboration, there is little research on how established corporations can manage the collaboration and choose among the various forms of collaboration at their disposal. Building on theoretical findings and field research, a framework for corporate innovation managers, the Startup-Collaboration-Model was developed. The purpose of this paper is to deliver tools and guidelines for innovation managers so as to support their decision-making as to what collaboration form to choose when aspiring to openly innovate with startups. The conclusions of this study open up future avenues for research to evaluate the tool’s applicability and further refine its decision-making criteria.
