Abstract:
It is widely accepted to raise the participation in continuing training. The main attention has been on the issues financing, time, legal regulations or guidance in the last years. Contrarily, the article sheds light on the training personal within enterprises. After giving an overview of the rather fragmentary research activities a cluster analysis will be made. Building on this analysis of data from the enterprise surveys CVTS2 and CVTS3 will be discussed if enterprises with professionalized continuing training structures demonstrate high or low participation rates of the employees. Finally, the article will conclude with general thoughts on non-participation and professional continuing training structures.
