Abstract: General pay increases agreed in the first six months of the 2014 collective bargaining round range from 2 to almost 4% in most segments and for the next year from 1 to 3%. The average duration of the new pay agreements is 22.6 months. Calculated on an annual basis, the average increase of wages based on collective agreements for 2014 will be around 3.1% for 16.5 m. employees, which is above the average increase of 2.7% in 2013. This will lead to noticeable real wage increases.
