WSI-Mindestlohnbericht 2016: anhaltende Entwicklungsdynamik in Europa

Abstract: The WSI Report on Minimum Wages 2016 gives an overview on the current developments of minimum wages in 37 European and non-European countries. Drawing on the WSI Minimum Wage Database the report provides current data on the level and development of statutory minimum wages. In 2015 there was a continuation of more dynamic wage developments which had started already two years ago. Against the background of low inflation, in many countries minimum wage earners saw significant increases in real wages. In order to make an efficient contribution towards combating the danger of deflation, minimum wages need to continue their dynamic growth path in 2016.
