Public Private Partnership (PPP) – Für ein gemeinsames Verständnis von PPP als Teil der New Public Governance

Abstract: Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) are perceived as part of the New Public Governance (NPG) discourse. In the past PPPs have been given many meanings, many authors used individual definitions, but no common definition has so far evolved. The aim of this paper is to identify common criteria across disciplines for PPPs through an analysis of current academic PPP literature. Based on an interdisciplinary understanding of PPP as part of NPG new approaches on the fulfilment of (voluntary) municipal tasks can be analysed and developed in the future.
