On the Global International Comparison of GDP of 146 Countries of the World

Abstract: The article considers major results of the global international comparison of GDP of 146 countries which was carried out by the World Bank. The results of the comparison provide a unique information on the world and regional economy, on the comparative level of individual countries’ economy. Special attention is paid to the indicators characterizing Russia’s role in the world and regional economy. The article also discusses main principles of the methodology of the comparison.
