Pension system and labor activity: International experience

Abstract: The article analyzes the interaction of pension system and labor market on the basis of empirical research in OECD countries. The main objective of this study is to examine how changes in retirement policies affect labor force participation rate and employment rate in different age groups. The analysis of international experience makes it possible to develop recommendations on reforming the Russian pension system that would reduce the tension in the labor market.
