Abstract: Interview with Professor Immanuel Wallerstein, many years' director of the Fernand Braudel Center for the Studies of Economies, Historical Systems, and Civilizations at the Binghamton University, a branch of the State University of New York. He is worldrenowned for analyses of historical systems, particularly the emergence and development of the capitalist worldeconomy. His fundamental research ushered in a new stage in studying the development and transformation of the global human community.
