Education 2.0: A fashionable term or new content?

Abstract: The article analyzes the newly emerged term "Education 2.0" and offers its pedagogical interpretation. Considered are the basic principles of Education 2.0: subject-orientedness, excessiveness, cooperation, and conditions of their realization: the openness of education system and the availability of a relevant cognitive model. It briefly reviews the extant education systems that are wholly or partly based on the principles of Education 2.0, and offers directions of change for the existing education system.
