Introducing computers and forming the learning environment at a school: Novel teaching skills

Abstract:
The necessity to introduce computers at schools is dictated by objective social processes. In order to introduce computer enhanced teaching practices and to preserve their leading role in the process of teaching, a teacher must combine a high level of pedagogical skills with thorough mastery of information technologies. The education modern teachers should include the inoculation of the following skills: an ability to quickly and objectively evaluate digital teaching resources, an ability to plan and schedule a class that uses computer and information technologies, and to create interactive learning environment.DOI: 10.17323/1814-9545-2010-4-85-100
