Abstract:
The necessity of using constructive and descriptive definitions in disclosing the semantics of terms was justified. A semantic analysis of the terms "effect" and "efficiency" was made. Effect is proved to be mainly determined by the action of certain forces, while efficiency describes a possible degree of manifestation of these forces, that is, determines the conditions of the process of obtaining the effect. Cause-andeffect relations of economic effect reproduction and efficiency were analysed based on the relationship between extensive and intensive factors. The intensity of the effect was proved to depend on three conditions – the quality of potential, organization of activities and the level of interest of stakeholders, while the extent to which these conditions are realized is offered to be considered as the company efficiency.
