Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the practices, perceptions and the financial behaviors of beneficiaries of Program Bolsa Família and their impact on global life satisfaction. For this, we applied 595 questionnaires, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The main results showed the predominance of women in the financial management of these families who are in financial situations difficult, overdue bills, spending more than they earn, almost unable to pay the monthly expenses and without conditions to save money. In relation to behavioral factors, we concluded medium financial attitude, attitude to debt and financial well-being, positive financial behavior, low level of financial knowledge and overall satisfaction positive life. The multiple linear regression indicated that people with high sense of financial well-being, attitude and adequate financial behavior, low savings and no debt visualize a better overall life satisfaction.
