Comment on “Homo Socialis: An Analytical Core for Sociological Theoryâ€

Abstract: Gintis and Helbing (2015) propose to develop an analytical core for sociology. We review the scope and success of their proposals. We conclude that their project cannot constitute an analytical core for sociological theory, but it does set forth important enhancements of economic theory.
