Abstract:
Solar business is facing major challenges related to the ever-changing regulatory framework, corporate interests and public pressure. Successful adaptation to the high requirements of regulators and competitive alternative energy sources is needed. The European Union (EU) has constantly underlined its commitment to international cooperation and to fighting the effects of greenhouse gas emissions and the solar business is one of the levers that it uses to implement them. The formation of the internal market in the energy sector requires the elimination of numerous regulatory and trade barriers; the approximation of tax and pricing policy, norms and standard measures, and environmental and safety rules. This requires the development and implementation of successful strategies on the part of solar energy producers, traders and consumers.
