Abstract: The leader of the Houthi movement Ansar Allah intervened in the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict on October 7, 2023, on the side of Palestine, which provoked political and military tensions with Israel, as well as in the Red Sea waters with attacks on commercial and military ships, the property of Western powers or Israeli economic entities. These events have inherently widened the Middle East conflict and destabilized the region. The Ansar Allah attacks have prompted the US and UK to launch sporadic airstrikes on Houthi-controlled Yemeni targets. The signing of an Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire ended attacks on Israeli targets and vessels in the Red Sea for a period of time.
