Abstract:
The presented paper traces the marketing’s genesis and evolution as an independent scientific field. It traces the rise of marketing as a university discipline. The first marketing books within the period 1900-1910 are discussed. The proportions of marketing publications in English, Russian, German, French, and Chinese are analyzed via Google’s Ngram Viewer
