Abstract: The aim of this article is to reveal the essential features and characteristics of green jobs as a means of solving problems with the economic slowdown and the loss of jobs and the continuing deterioration of the environment and degradation of ecosystems. On this basis is provided a definition of green jobs, are explored the problems of their distribution in Bulgaria and are offered directions for their development.
