Abstract: In light of the economy as an object con­cept, the article chronologically envisages successive views, drawing more attention to the most recent one – the so called “tech­nosocial” view. It concerns the challenges to the history of economics during the last de­cades in the research and representation of the development of the economy and the role of economics and other sciences.
