Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the trends, probÂlems, good practices and tendencies of bank activities in the European Union. The major trends and issues arising in the activities of banks have been enumerated. RecommenÂdations have been given for overcoming the problems. The state of the Bulgarian banking system has been presented in regard to the analyzed trends. Some amendments to normaÂtive documents regulating the functioning of banks in the European Union member states have been enumerated.
