Abstract: The article discusses the essence of infrastructure for the energy system. Therefore, they are noted for the main types of energy infrastructure according to the type of energy source used, resource. Their condition and their profitability for the energy sector. The influence of the state of the energy infrastructure on the opportunities and prospects for the sectoral development of the energy sector is emphasized. Its importance in terms of security of the energy system. The essence and the development of the infrastructure of the energy system of the Republic of Bulgaria are considered.
