Waste Management Problems in Bulgaria

Abstract: The present article is dedicated to waste management in Bulgaria. An analysis of the state and dynamics of the problem has been made. Data provided by the National Statistical Institute have been used for the purposes of the analysis. Opinions of other authors have been summarized. The need to improve waste management is justified in order to overcome the problems that exist in this area. The importance of transitioning to a circular economy is reflected in order to protect resources and preserve the environment.
