Complex Human Capital Classification Model: Conceptual Framework and Methodology

Selman Deliibramov

Ikonomiceski i Sotsialni Alternativi, 2026, issue 1, 48-73

Abstract: The research develops a complex classification model of human capital structured in 33 criteria which are systematized in seven thematic groups: nature and content, origin and development, applicability and value, economic dimensions, temporal dynamics, interactions and specific characteristics. The model builds on existing theoretical frameworks by incorporating dimensions that have so far remained fragmentarily examined – synergy and antagonism between elements, forms of depreciation, negative human capital and susceptibility to automation with artificial intelligence. A typology of human capital according to degree of realization has been developed. It is comprised of eight categories from maximal (theoretical) to prosocial. Methodological principles for the selection and hierarchization of classifiers are defined, providing conceptual consistency and operational efficiency. The model provides an analytical toolkit for strategic human resources management, investment risk assessment and the development of targeted personnel policies. The research has a conceptual-theoretical character; empirical validation and practical application of the model will be the subject of subsequent research.
