Abstract:
This study analyzes the impact of key factors on the competitiveness of non-financial enterprises in Bulgaria, employing a multi-factor statistical approach. The analysis covers sectoral data for 2024, encompassing the primary economic activities within the country. The research utilizes descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and cluster analysis. The results reveal a strong positive correlation between the number of employed persons and Gross Value Added (GVA), highlighting the significance of human capital as a key driver of economic efficiency. Expenditures on Research and Development (R&D) demonstrate a weaker statistical influence in the short term, suggesting a time lag in the effects of innovation activity. The study identifies groups of economic sectors characterized by varying levels of development, digitalization, and efficiency. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors determining the competitiveness of non-financial enterprises in Bulgaria and provide implications for the formulation of economic and management policies.
