Abstract: The paper examines the state of administrative e-services offered by local municipalities. It reviews existing developments on the subject and highlights the problems and challenges facing the digitalization of administrative services. The results of an empirical study with a focus on the similarities and differences in the ongoing digitalization of local administration in Northern and Southern Bulgaria are analyzed.
