Insurance Coverage for Third Party Liability and Material Damage Arising From Nuclear Incidents Caused by Terrorist Acts

Oecd

Nuclear Law Bulletin, 2007, vol. 2006, issue 2, 19-35

Abstract: The OECD Nuclear Law Committee first began looking at the impact of terrorist acts upon the nuclear liability insurance market in November 2001, shortly after the attacks which took place in the United States on 11 September of that same year. The Committee was concerned about the impact which terrorist acts might have on the ability of nuclear operators to obtain third party liability and material damage insurance coverage for nuclear incidents resulting from such acts.
