Abstract:
Combining car-sharing and electric mobility results in a “circulus virtuosis” or in other words a profitable dynamic, because car-sharing and electric mobility are mutually beneficial. The operation of a car-sharing model with electric vehicles makes sense given these considerations even though it is still facing challenges. Apart from the costs, the integration of charging is the most critical success factor for the realization of the concept and its economic success. Th is paper discusses possible solutions for this problem which appear to be feasible and promising.
